WHARTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT
FILING OF LABOR CONDITION APPLICATION
WITH THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
Notice is hereby made to all applicants and employees of WHARTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT (“Employer”) that it intends to employ one non-immigrant employee under the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) classification of H-1B Specialty Worker. Employer is hereby notifying all interested persons that in furtherance of employing such worker, Employer is filing a Labor Condition Application (LCA) with the United States Department of Labor.
At this time, one (1) worker will be employed. The position is Eighth Grade Math Teacher. Wharton ISD is offering a wage of $52,601 plus $5,000 High Demand Stipend plus $700 Department Chair Stipend. The period of employment for which the worker will be employed is July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024. The employment will occur at 1120 N Rusk St., Wharton, Texas, 77351.
Wharton ISD’s Human Resources Department maintains information about actual compensation. Payroll records are retained for a minimum of three (3) years from the date of record creation. Copies of Prevailing Wage information are contained in public files in the Human Resources Department, where copies of relevant documents are retained for a period of one (1) year beyond the last date on which a non-immigrant was employed under the LCA, or the date of expiration or withdrawal, whichever occurs first. Copies of all LCA forms filed by Employer are available for public inspection at Wharton Independent School District, Department of Human Resources, 2100 N. Fulton, Wharton, Texas, 77488.
This notice will be posted on the district’s website in a conspicuous place and an email with a link to the posting sent to all affected workers. Additionally, this notice will remain posted in a conspicuous location at the employer’s principle place of business. Additionally, this notice will remain in at least two (2) conspicuous locations at each place of employment where any H-1B non-immigrant will be employed. This notice will remain posted for a continuous period of at least 10 days on or within 30 days of the date the LCA is filed with the United States Department of Labor.
Complaints alleging misrepresentation of material facts in the Labor Condition Application and/or failure to comply with the terms of the Labor Condition Application may be filed with any office of the Wage and Hour Division of the United States Department of Labor.
