Mrs. Amalia Villarreal
Mrs. Amalia Villarreal is currently serving in her 12th year in education. She has served students as a teacher in the bilingual and monolingual classrooms, as an assistant principal at Sivells Elementary and now serves as a district coordinator of bilingual and ESL programs. She is passionate about the success of students in Wharton.
Mrs. Villarreal was raised in Wharton County and is excited to be serving Tiger Nation! She received her bachelor's degree in business administration in 2009 from the University of Houston-Victoria and later her master's degree in educational administration from Texas A&M University in 2019. She believes that education should build the entire student academically, socially and emotionally. Mrs. Villarreal is passionate about advocating for the many special populations in public education. She strives to be the bridge of communication between schools and families, advocating in the best interest of every learner. Her vision is to support campus leaders in creating a safe, welcoming, and rigorous environment where children thrive in learning!
