Harmony entered the cosmetology program last school year as a freshman. She mentioned that her dream was ultimately to become a fashion designer, but thought it wise to take cosmetology to learn all aspects of the beauty industry. I told her that if she showed me that she was truly serious and put in the necessary hard work, I would do my very best to help her get in contact with the right people that could guide her on that path. Harmony has worked SO hard to maintain passing grades and meet every requirement of the cosmetology program, and has proven that she is truly dedicated to the program and her dream. Due to her commitment, I reached out to a fashion designer that I have worked with in the past, who was more than delighted to take Harmony under her wing and enroll her in a fashion designer mentorship program beginning this June!! In this photo she was surprised with the news, and allowed to call the designer herself to discuss details of the mentorship program! Please help me congratulate Harmony on her newest endeavors!!
Dream big Harmony!!Timinka Williams

Today, Your child should have brought home a Parent Information Envelope letting you know about a safe and easy way for our school to raise funds for essential tools our students and teachers need to succeed.
The Reading for Education fundraiser is 100% online so there is NO face-to-face selling, handling money, or delivering products. Your participation will take less than 12 minutes, and there are exciting prizes to make it fun for the students.
Here is all you need to do to participate:
1. Go to https://www.rfe.net/sid.t?
2. Send form emails inviting family, friends and co-workers to support your child.
3. Return the Envelope with the Student Prize Code to school for your child to get their fun participation prize.
Be sure to ask your child for the Parent Envelope tonight. Your participation will make a difference for our school and teachers!
Thanks,
Wharton Elementary School
