Athletics Weekly Review 8/28/26 – 9/3/26
This week was a little quiet for the Fall semester but the Tigers still roared!

Aug. 28th - Football vs El Campo
Varsity: Loss 55-14 Varsity fought tough but fell to rival El Campo. Top rushers were
Javien Smith with a 57-yard touchdown and Damarco Ramirez with 28 yards on the
ground. Xavion Hickman found the passing game hard to establish with only 8 yards in
the air. Defensively Layden Wynn had a forced fumble and returned it 44 yards for a
touchdown. Jacaden Allen led the defense with 9 total tackles. Kicker Carlos Orta
connected on both extra points and kicked well for the game. The Tigers take on
Willowridge for Homecoming on September 4 th !
Sept. 2nd - Team Tennis vs Willowridge
Win 19-0. Wharton Tiger Tennis had a good day today against Willowridge. We are
improving each week and are preparing for tough battles ahead!

Jasiel Vasquez and Aiden Blust in a dominating victory at number 3 doubles.
Sep 2 Cross Country @ Van Vleck
Jacaden Allen ran hard and placed 12 th overall for the day. Great job Tigers!
