Richard Chandler, the new Assistant Principal at Wharton High School, has over 12 years of experience in education.  He holds a Master’s in Secondary Principalship from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma and a Bachelor’s in Physical Education from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas.  He started his educational career teaching physical education and coaching football/basketball/softball in Aldine ISD, before becoming Athletic Campus Coordinator of Male Sports in Cy-Fair ISD.

Mr. Chandler’s educational philosophy is based on his uncompromising belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable leadership, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, and a supportive family.
