Mr. Olatunji Oduwole

Mr. Olatunji Oduwole, an engineer turned educator, is a dedicated instructional leader with over two decades of service and experience. His astute educational practices as an outstanding Math, Science, Special Education, and Robotics teacher earned him the La Marque Middle School Teacher of the Year in the 2007-2008 school year. He performed as an exceptional Instructional Coach and Testing Coordinator at LMISD before becoming a certified school principal. As the Principal of Renaissance Academy, in La Marque, he earned the prestigious Region 4 Service Center Principal of the Year in 2014-2015 for La Marque ISD.

Olatunji joined Wharton ISD as an associate principal in 2016 and has served as both Wharton High School and Wharton Junior High School principal before his assignment as WISD Executive Director of Maintenance and Operations, the position he holds until now. In his eight-year career at Wharton ISD, Olatunji has worked diligently to foster effective, innovative academic excellence and communication to develop teachers, staff, and improve students’ academic performance.

Oduwole is married to Yemi, and they are blessed with two adult children: Mosunmola and Olawande.
